This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Support the architecture and engineering operations in Minneapolis as a Project Controller.
• Ensure that assigned client projects achieve their financial, schedule, and performance objectives.
• Manage project controls for both small and large projects, collaborating with multiple project managers.
• Analyze performance trends, conduct cost-impact assessments, prepare monthly project performance reports, and recommend contractor invoices for approval.
• Generate cost reports that track actual and committed costs of subcontractors and vendors against budgets.
• Update forecasts utilizing earned value analysis, discussions with project teams, and other relevant tools.
• Develop project budgets based on proposal estimates and assist in project initiation and execution.
• Coordinate the creation of effective work breakdown structures.
• Relay budget, cost, and schedule analysis outcomes to project managers and project leaders.
• Identify challenges and successes, formulating recovery plans as necessary.
• Facilitate meetings with project teams, Project Approvers, and the Finance & Accounting departments.
• Establish purchase orders and subcontract agreements in collaboration with procurement.
• Track subcontractor and vendor expenditure against commitments and budgets.
• Complete payment release documentation and monitor payments to subcontractors.
• Assist Project Managers with Salesforce data entries and updates.
• Communicate with subcontractors about progress, schedules, and contract administration.
• Monitor key performance indicators, including earned value, cost and schedule performance, estimates to completion, and projected end dates.
• Track unbilled amounts, invoicing, and aged accounts receivable, reporting findings to management.
• Maintain data quality metrics, forecast end dates, and estimates to completion.
• Review client invoices and create invoice schedules in accordance with contract stipulations.
• Prepare and deliver monthly reports for both internal and external clients.
• Collaborate with project managers to fulfill contractual obligations.
• Communicate with clients regarding invoicing, payments, contracts, and reporting.
• BA/BS degree with 4 years of relevant experience in project controls, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• No sponsorship is available now or in the future.
• Preferred prior experience in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of relevant project controls experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling techniques, practices, and earned value is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within teams.
• Capacity to lead project controls across both small and large projects within a diverse portfolio.
• Familiarity with basic Federal Contract Requirements, or a willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret client contracts and subcontracts.
