Project Architect – Mission Critical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead and motivate a diverse project team comprising clients, developers, local authorities, architects, and engineers.

• Deliver innovative, responsive, sustainable, and well-executed data center facilities.

• Assist in site entitlement design and approvals, campus planning, programming, building design, and sustainable technical research.

• Collaborate with clients and civil engineering teams to develop site and master plans.

• Create building system concepts and documentation from schematics to construction administration.

• Aid project pursuits by supporting the Project Manager and Principal in Charge with scope and fee formulation.

• Act as the team leader on large, complex, integrated architecture and engineering projects.

• Supervise and guide project team members.

• Prepare and oversee discipline work plans.

• Conduct and document code research.

• Perform material and product research.

• Develop and revise project specifications using RIB SpecLink.

• Sign and seal documents that are prepared under direct supervision.

• Participate in project meetings.

• Interpret documents and review submittals during the bidding and construction administration phases.

• Supervise staff to ensure quality architectural and engineering services within a project team framework.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and licensure are required.

• LEED Accreditation is preferred, alongside a passion for sustainable and resilient design.

• A minimum of eight years' experience in the A/E industry is required.

• At least three years of experience with Data Center projects is necessary.

• Extensive knowledge of professional services from schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise.

• A comprehensive understanding of coordination aspects and related requirements across all design disciplines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills alongside robust organizational skills.

• Ability to motivate and mentor staff while delegating work assignments effectively.

• Proficient in Revit.

• Willingness and capability to collaborate with remote team members using video conferencing and other tools.

• Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable.

• Ability to work collaboratively with others under tight deadlines.

• Capable of traveling to and from project sites.

• Ability to access existing and new project sites for observation, investigation, and evaluation purposes.

• Proficient in using equipment for communication and documentation.

• Possess visual acuity to perform necessary responsibilities.
