Tech Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in technology engagements for a diverse array of clients

• Collaborate with investors, leadership teams of portfolio companies, and technology executives to establish and implement technical architectures that achieve measurable business results

• Evaluate current applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, integration patterns, data platforms, and technical limitations

• Formulate target-state technical architectures that align with business objectives, security, scalability, resilience, and practicality of delivery

• Provide guidance to clients on cloud platforms, application modernization, infrastructure, integration, software delivery tools, data platforms, and analytics environments

• Convert business and technology needs into architecture principles, technical designs, transition strategies, and delivery priorities

• Create and present architecture recommendations to senior technology executives and non-technical stakeholders

• Identify risks, dependencies, technical debt, and delivery limitations, and suggest mitigation strategies

• Partner with client teams and Crosslake specialists across product, engineering, cloud, security, data, and transformation domains

• Question assumptions and rigorously evaluate proposed designs

• Develop prioritized roadmaps towards scalable, resilient, and purpose-fit technology capabilities

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in technical, solutions, or enterprise architecture, software engineering, or other relevant technical leadership positions

• Proven history of designing and delivering intricate technology solutions

• Strong practical understanding of contemporary technical architectures and platforms, including cloud services, application architectures, infrastructure, integration patterns, software delivery methodologies, security, and reliability

• Experience in evaluating existing technology environments and defining target-state architectures, transition methods, and delivery roadmaps

• Solid grasp of cloud technologies, security, resilience, observability, performance, scalability, and operational factors

• Significant expertise in data architecture and modern data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, integration patterns, data modeling, data governance, quality, and analytics

• Capability to translate complex technical ideas into straightforward recommendations for senior business, data, and technology stakeholders

• Established credibility with senior technical leaders, such as CTOs, CIOs, CDOs, Heads of Engineering, Heads of Data, and enterprise architects

• Experience across all phases of the technology lifecycle, from architecture and platform design through software delivery, deployment, operation, modernization, and continuous improvement

• Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to transition between architecture design, technical problem-solving, and client-facing advisory roles

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments

• Experience in consulting, advisory services, or multi-client delivery is preferred
