This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee Jobpac Connect administration, including project setup, budgeting, cost coding, general ledger structures, approval workflows, and user permissions.
• Ensure data integrity between Jobpac Connect and SunSystems.
• Offer systems support to site, project, and commercial teams.
• Process and categorize supplier and subcontractor invoices through the approval and payment procedures.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable tasks, encompassing supplier reconciliations, invoicing, and follow-up on debtors.
• Administer payments to subcontractors, covering progress claims, variations, back-charges, and retentions.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and prepare payment runs.
• Prepare journals and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities within designated reporting deadlines.
• Generate project financial reports detailing costs incurred to date, commitments, forecast costs to complete, and budget variance analysis.
• Assist with project cash flow forecasting, financier reporting, and drawdown claims.
• Prepare BAS, IAS, TPAR, and other statutory reports.
• Create year-end workpapers, including WIP reconciliations across Jobpac Connect, SunSystems, and Estate Master.
• Support external audit and compliance obligations.
• Collaborate with the Financial Controller and CFO on reporting, analysis, and broader finance initiatives.
• Recognize opportunities for process improvements and assist with ad hoc finance tasks.
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Commerce, with CA or CPA qualification completed or currently in progress.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience encompassing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, journals, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Proven experience in completing month-end and year-end closures.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Australian GST and BAS preparation.
• Strong reconciliation skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines across various projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence in liaising with non-financial colleagues regarding coding, approvals, and claim inquiries.
• Capability to take ownership of the ledger, resolve issues, and prepare accurate documentation supporting audit and financier requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.
• Willingness to seek opportunities to streamline repetitive processes and assist with broader finance tasks.
• Experience in property development or construction is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Jobpac Connect or a comparable construction ERP, along with SunSystems, is preferable.
• Experience with Estate Master is highly valued.
• Understanding of WIP, costs to complete, progress claims, and retentions is desirable.
