Project Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Initiate projects within the relevant systems to ensure precise billing and financial oversight.

• Analyze contracts and initiate project setups.

• Manage project billing processes and create accurate, timely invoices for clients.

• Confirm that billing standards are fulfilled.

• Compile necessary forms and coordinate supporting billing documentation as per client contracts.

• Assess outstanding accounts receivable and assist Project Managers in collection efforts.

• Address and resolve outstanding balances.

• Work alongside the Controller, Division Managers, and Project Managers to conduct WIP analysis, monitor projects, and resolve invoice-related issues.

• Aid in project audits and closures.

• Ensure financial records and related documentation are thorough and accurate.

• Provide support for special projects and other accounting initiatives as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of four years of applicable experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with project accounting and billing practices.

• Experience in project setup, contract analysis, invoicing, accounts receivable, and financial project oversight.

• Knowledge of the architecture, engineering, or construction (A/E/C) sectors.

• Understanding of billing processes in an architecture, engineering, or construction setting.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Capability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Proficient in accounting and business systems.

• Required proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Experience with Deltek Vision is advantageous.
