Program Officer, Initial Resettlement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily case management activities and offer technical support for post-allocation cases.

• Handle RPC pre-arrival reports while adhering to specified timelines.

• Ensure the accuracy of databases in IRIS and Dynamics, and suggest improvements.

• Assist in monitoring frameworks, data gathering, reporting, and ensuring grant compliance.

• Cultivate and sustain expertise in program subject areas, acting as the primary point of contact.

• Evaluate field office reports and provide prompt feedback.

• Manage the beneficiary feedback survey and summarize quarterly data.

• Collaborate in the development and execution of the annual training plan.

• Identify training needs, and create, revise, facilitate, and conduct training sessions.

• Update program procedures, tools, methodologies, and staff manuals.

• Engage in Communities of Practice and cross-departmental meetings.

• Report program strengths and weaknesses to the Associate Director of Initial Resettlement.

• Ensure compliance for an assigned portfolio of field and sub-recipient offices through monitoring, consulting, and providing technical assistance.

• Build relationships with local personnel and assist in the onboarding of new managers and PC-funded initial resettlement staff.

• Conduct annual PC Site Profile assessments, quarterly manager check-ins, monitoring visits, and follow-up desk audits.

• Contribute to the creation and revision of case file forms and semiannual reports.

• Engage in up to 10% travel for site visits and training facilitation.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in resettlement.

• Self-motivated, collaborative, and a keen listener.

• Strong writing and editing capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

• Ability to conduct research and perform data analysis.

• Excellent attention to detail with the capacity to multitask.

• Experience in a grant-compliance environment.

• Willingness to travel domestically up to 20%.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Social Work or a related field (preferred).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in refugee resettlement work (preferred).

• Familiarity with IRIS, Dynamics, SharePoint, and Asana (preferred).

• Experience in overseas and/or cross-cultural settings (preferred).

• Background in working with Preferred Communities and the PC Gaps/IAR programs or Initial Resettlement (preferred).
