Program Manager, Informatics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the sole contractor point of contact for all activities related to the CCPI contract.

• Maintain effective communication with Government Contracting Officer Representatives, VA stakeholders, and program leadership.

• Oversee overall contract performance and coordinate delivery across all task areas.

• Manage iterative sprint planning, prioritize backlogs, and allocate resources effectively.

• Facilitate engagement among cross-VA stakeholders, including VHA program offices, enterprise data teams, and interagency partners.

• Support the execution of concurrent pilot programs.

• Provide technically informed oversight for programs across enterprise analytics environments and cloud-hosted data platforms.

• Lead solution design, ensure quality assurance, and implement risk mitigation strategies using knowledge of health informatics, clinical data standards, and VA data systems.

• Create and present operational reports, program status updates, and executive-level briefings.

• Communicate performance metrics, milestone advancements, risks, and mitigation strategies to Government stakeholders.

• Establish and enforce program governance, change management protocols, and procedures for issue escalation.

• Ensure compliance with federal IT standards, data security protocols, VA policies, and contractual obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of progressive experience in program management, enterprise analytics, information technology, or federal healthcare settings.

• A Master's degree in health informatics, public health, information management, a related field, or an equivalent discipline is required; 6 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

• Previous experience supporting the VA, VHA, or a similar large-scale federal healthcare agency as either a contractor or government employee.

• Knowledge of VA enterprise data systems, VHA program offices, and federal health IT governance frameworks.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a VA Position of Public Trust suitability clearance.

• Adherence to VA information security, privacy, and Rules of Behavior requirements.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Proven ability to manage iterative/agile sprint planning and backlog management in a federal program context.

• Excellent executive communication skills.

• Experience in producing formal contract deliverables and operational reports for government stakeholders.

• PMP certification or an equivalent program management credential is strongly preferred.

• Active informatics certification or professional membership with AHIMA or AMIA is preferred.

• Familiarity with VA Lighthouse APIs, Corporate Data Warehouse, or VA Enterprise Data Warehouse is preferred.

• Experience leading concurrent pilot programs or innovation initiatives within a federal health agency is preferred.
