This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and assist in managing a variety of DISA, DoD, and federal telecommunications and technology infrastructure projects from start to finish.
• Create and uphold project timelines, milestones, budgets, action-item trackers, risk registers, procurement statuses, and schedules for deliverables.
• Facilitate activities related to ISP and OSP fiber, structured cabling, telecommunications, network infrastructure, AV/VTC, equipment installations, and other low-voltage infrastructure tasks.
• Organize site surveys, design assessments, installation processes, testing, inspections, cutovers, customer acceptance procedures, and project finalization.
• Act as the main point of coordination among government clients, technical teams, subcontractors, vendors, and company leadership.
• Manage operations within secure and mission-critical DoD environments, addressing facility access, escorts, maintenance windows, outages, change-control requirements, and operational limitations.
• Evaluate SOWs, PWSs, task orders, drawings, specifications, cable schedules, bills of materials, technical requirements, subcontractor proposals, and related documents.
• Track scope, schedule impacts, risks, technical challenges, dependencies, procurement issues, and possible cost implications.
• Oversee the procurement of equipment and materials, tracking long-lead items effectively.
• Manage coordination with subcontractors and vendors while monitoring their performance.
• Supervise fiber optic installation, splicing, termination, labeling, testing, and certification activities.
• Direct the installation of structured cabling, including pathways, racks, cabinets, patch panels, terminations, labeling, and testing.
• Collaborate on telecommunications and technology work with electrical, facilities, construction, furniture, and other project operations.
• Organize planned outages, system cutovers, installation windows, and migrations.
• Maintain comprehensive records such as meeting minutes, status reports, action-item logs, risk logs, punch lists, redlines, as-built documentation, test results, equipment inventories, and closeout packages.
• Draft RFIs, project correspondence, subcontractor coordination materials, status updates, customer communications, and project documentation.
• Lead or take part in kickoff meetings, status updates, technical coordination sessions, subcontractor meetings, and government client briefings.
• Provide detailed program and project reporting covering accomplishments, milestones, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, procurement statuses, and customer decisions.
• Monitor subcontractor deliverables, material statuses, field activities, testing requirements, customer actions, and project milestones.
• Assist with subcontract administration, including authorizations to proceed, documentation, invoices, change requests, and project records.
• Aid in estimating, technical planning, proposal development, staffing strategies, subcontractor sourcing, and project execution plans.
• Support project closure activities, including inspections, punch-list resolution, testing documentation, as-built records, warranties, customer acceptance documentation, and required deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of pertinent experience in project management, project coordination, telecommunications, construction, or infrastructure.
• Proficient in fiber optic infrastructure, structured cabling, telecommunications, network infrastructure, or low-voltage projects.
• Experience in managing or coordinating multiple projects and timelines within a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) telecommunications infrastructure.
• Familiarity with fiber splicing, termination, testing, certification, cable pathways, telecommunications rooms, and structured cabling systems.
• Proven experience collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, construction trades, and technical field personnel.
• Knowledge of federal contract requirements, PWS/SOW documentation, RFIs, submittals, change management, and project closeout documentation.
• Ability to review and comprehend scopes of work, technical requirements, drawings, project schedules, proposals, and subcontractor documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and see project issues through to resolution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• An active security clearance is required and must be maintained.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Experience supporting DoD, DISA, or other federal government programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with facilities, construction, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Project and AutoCAD is preferred.
