Program Manager – Group Captives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of designated group captive insurance programs in the role of Chief Operating Officer.

• Assist the team in managing the technical components of the captive.

• Collaborate with Captive Executives, Business Development Executives, and other Program Managers.

• Supervise the flow of underwriting information from submission through to proposal generation.

• Evaluate submissions and underwriting data for precision and completeness prior to actuarial pricing.

• Work alongside underwriting to develop prompt and precise proposals.

• Cultivate relationships with brokers, service providers, and members.

• Organize board meetings and relay program status and updates.

• Manage underwriting documentation for renewals and board presentations.

• Collaborate with the captive domicile manager to maintain board books, financial records, renewal documents, and presentation materials.

• Oversee premium collection and ensure accurate financial reconciliations with the captive domicile manager and policy issuing carrier.

• Uphold financial integrity and compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.

• At least five (5) years of experience in property and casualty insurance.

• Ideal experience with captive programs.

• Capability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including executive leadership and production.

• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to address problems and apply sound judgment to technical and operational issues.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.
