This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Oversee comprehensive localization initiatives spanning various languages and content types.
• Create and manage project schedules, timelines, dependencies, risks, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Act as a liaison among business stakeholders, product and engineering teams, localization vendors, and internal partners.
• Collect, document, and confirm business and functional requirements, including BRDs, FSDs, process flows, and system specifications.
• Convert business and localization requirements into scalable processes or system solutions.
• Lead scenario-based User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across different platforms and workflows.
• Manage defect tracking, triage, retesting, and resolution processes.
• Ensure release readiness by verifying workflows, dependencies, risks, approvals, and go-live conditions.
• Address incidents or escalations related to localization, workflows, systems, and vendors.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and facilitate corrective and preventive measures.
• Oversee localization vendors, manage translation requests, delivery schedules, quality standards, and SLA performance.
• Supervise request triage and daily tracking activities.
• Evaluate workflows, identify operational deficiencies, and implement process enhancements through standardization, automation, AI, SME reviews, and quality feedback.
• Assist with localization and business systems such as GlobalLink, CRM platforms, Azure DevOps, and other related workflow tools.
• Formulate and execute change-management strategies.
• Develop training materials, process documentation, stakeholder communications, and adoption strategies.
• Collaborate with reporting teams to create and maintain operational dashboards.
• Relay project status, risks, delays, decisions, and changes throughout the program lifecycle.
• Integrate stakeholder feedback, lessons learned, and evolving business needs into ongoing improvements.
• Remain updated on localization technologies, AI-assisted translation, automation potential, and industry best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in localization program management, business operations, vendor operations, or a similar program-management position.
• Strong familiarity with localization processes, workflows, tools, and methodologies.
• Experience in gathering and documenting business or functional requirements and translating them into process or system solutions.
• Proven experience leading UAT, defect triage, release-readiness tasks, or workflow validation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects involving business, product, engineering, operations, and external vendors.
• Capability to manage incidents, escalations, risks, dependencies, and competing priorities effectively.
• Experienced in managing localization vendors, translation requests, delivery timelines, quality expectations, or SLAs.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient in Azure DevOps, Jira, Asana, or Trello.
• Knowledgeable about localization platforms or CAT/TMS tools like GlobalLink, SDL Trados, Phrase, or memoQ.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple programs concurrently in a dynamic environment.
• PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related certification is preferred.
• Experience in creating BRDs, FSDs, process maps, training materials, and change-management communications is preferred.
• Familiarity with operational reporting, dashboards, KPI tracking, cost analysis, or volume forecasting is preferred.
• Knowledge of internationalization (i18n) and localization (L10n) best practices is preferred.
• Experience with MT, MTPE, or translation-quality evaluation is preferred.
• Familiarity with applying generative AI, AIGC, or Large Language Models to localization workflows is preferred.
• Experience with workflow automation, localization-system integrations, CRM platforms, or Azure DevOps is preferred.
• Background in managing localization for cloud products, technical documentation, data centers, or training content is preferred.
• Experience supporting global product releases or large-scale enterprise localization programs is preferred.
