📋 Description

• Spearhead the global strategy, vision, and roadmap for trade compliance transformation.

• Provide guidance to Trade Compliance, Manufacturing, and business leadership on modernization, operational excellence, and digital innovation.

• Create business cases, strategic recommendations, and risk assessments.

• Lead enterprise-wide initiatives to establish compliance frameworks, governance models, methodologies, and industry best practices.

• Keep abreast of regulatory, technology, and industry trends and convert insights into scalable solutions.

• Design and execute standardized trade compliance processes across various regions, functions, and operating environments.

• Promote the adoption of automation, advanced analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and digital technologies.

• Set standards for compliance systems, data governance, workflow optimization, and performance measurement.

• Oversee technology transformation projects, including trade compliance platform implementations, integrations, and enhancements.

• Tackle complex trade compliance issues while balancing regulatory, operational, and business objectives.

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate trade compliance risks.

• Lead during audits, regulatory reviews, compliance events, and business transformation activities.

• Collaborate with leaders in manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, legal, IT, and operations.

• Facilitate executive governance forums, steering committees, and cross-functional teams.

• Represent Emerson in interactions with external stakeholders, industry associations, regulatory agencies, and professional networks.

• Contribute thought leadership to enhance trade compliance practices and organizational capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, relevant professional experience, or a combination of education and pertinent experience.

• Extensive experience in leading global trade compliance programs within multinational manufacturing, technology, or similarly complex organizations.

• Profound knowledge of international trade regulations, export controls, customs requirements, sanctions programs, and associated regulatory frameworks.

• Proven track record in leading large-scale transformation initiatives that involve process redesign, systems implementation, automation, and organizational change.

• Experience in utilizing digital technologies, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and data-driven methodologies to enhance compliance performance.

• Strong business acumen with the capability to align regulatory requirements with operational and strategic goals.

• Established ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead enterprise initiatives within complex matrixed environments.

• Experience in developing governance frameworks, operating models, and compliance strategies that support global business operations.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning abilities.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity, assess risk, and deliver sustainable solutions in a rapidly changing regulatory landscape.

• Preferred: Experience in leading enterprise-wide compliance transformation programs across multiple regions and business units.

• Preferred: Advanced expertise in trade compliance technology platforms, automation solutions, and initiatives for digital transformation.
