Program Management Manager – Federal Environmental Remediation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the delivery of various environmental remediation and restoration initiatives for federal government clients.

• Manage project portfolios that encompass scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk management, and resource allocation.

• Act as the primary liaison for federal agency stakeholders while nurturing client relationships.

• Lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of environmental scientists, engineers, geologists, planners, and subcontractors.

• Supervise environmental investigations, remedial design, remedial actions, site characterization, risk assessments, and long-term monitoring activities.

• Ensure adherence to CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, and other pertinent federal and state environmental regulations.

• Create strategic project execution plans and track performance metrics.

• Assist in capture planning, proposal writing, client presentations, and initiatives for contract growth.

• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to project managers and technical personnel.

• Collaborate with regional and national leadership to enhance operational excellence and expand programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field, along with 8+ years of experience in environmental consulting and program management for federal environmental remediation projects, or equivalent experience and/or education.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

• US Citizenship is mandatory.

• Completion of relevant drug screens is required.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Proven experience in managing federally funded environmental remediation programs.

• Background in environmental consulting, program management, client engagement, and technical delivery.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.

• Preferred: 25+ years of experience managing environmental remediation and restoration programs for federal government clients.

• Experience in overseeing large, geographically distributed environmental restoration portfolios.

• PMP certification is preferred.

• PE, PG, or other relevant professional registrations are preferred.

• Experience with environmental compliance and restoration programs at military installations and federal facilities.

• Proficient in managing large IDIQ, MATOC, or other federal contracting vehicles.

• Experience in business development and managing relationships with federal clients.
