Program Director, Practice Education

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate high-quality site-based learning experiences and ensure the achievement of outcomes across healthcare programs at Strayer and Capella Universities.

• Evaluate program, SBL outcomes, and learner experience data to pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Analyze analytics reports, summarize insights and recommendations, and monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes.

• Manage the vetting, approval, administration, and complex affiliation requests for learner sites.

• Ensure that site-based learning processes adhere to accreditation requirements and standards.

• Act as a liaison with internal cross-functional partners.

• Address complex issues related to placements, sites, and administrative tasks.

• Supervise communications and change management with preceptors, site supervisors, and students.

• Ensure quality in site-based learning orientations and training.

• Contribute to specialized accreditation processes, learner manuals, and assessments of SBL standards and outcomes.

• Conduct audits of SBL processes to drive continuous quality improvement and support learner success.

• Oversee and provide leadership to the SBL/practice education team.

• Collaborate with deans, assistant/associate deans, program/faculty directors, university departments, Site-Based Learning and Services, Portfolio, and academic leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in higher education, healthcare education, clinical education, practice education, clinical placement operations, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in academic, clinical, workforce development, or healthcare environments.

• Experience collaborating with healthcare organizations, clinical sites, faculty, preceptors, and other stakeholders.

• Proven ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization and lead initiatives across various teams, functions, and external partners.

• Preferred knowledge of clinical placement processes, affiliation agreements, compliance requirements, clinical education technologies, and site partner expectations.

• Preferred engagement in the profession through leadership in practice education, participation in professional associations, committees, presentations, publications, or other contributions.

• An MSN from an accredited Nursing program is required.

• An earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution in Nursing or a closely related field is required.

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license is required.

• For APRN candidates: an active Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner License is required.

• APRN candidates must maintain clinical practice as defined by state licensure, AANP, and/or ANCC.

• All degrees must be conferred from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

• Ability to travel as necessary.

• Access to a remote work environment that provides privacy, reliable internet, phone, and video conferencing capabilities is required.

• Must be willing to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs dictate.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Ability to meet critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and computer access requirements.
