Program Director, Federal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the overall success, health, and progress of Abridge's federal healthcare program.

• Align product, clinical, commercial, engineering, legal, and government affairs teams around strategic objectives and goals.

• Design and oversee the operational cadence of the federal program, which includes weekly cross-functional syncs, tracking dependencies, quarterly planning, and executive reporting.

• Maintain a single source of truth for strategy, delivery status, outcomes, and objectives.

• Convert program status into clear, actionable communications for internal leadership and federal stakeholders.

• Establish accountability, track progress against milestones, and ensure teams are held responsible.

• Lead escalations and facilitate cross-functional problem-solving.

• Act as the primary spokesperson for the federal program to executive leadership.

• Provide reports on program health, strategic development, risks, and outcomes.

• Escalate decisions, blockers, and resource requirements with appropriate context and recommendations.

• Build and nurture relationships with federal stakeholders across program offices and clinical leadership.

• Translate customer requirements into internal priorities and guarantee the fulfillment of commitments.

• Collaborate with the federal commercial team on account strategy and renewals.

• Manage relationships with teaming partners to ensure effective service delivery.

• Coordinate efforts across product, commercial, sales, clinical success, legal, and government affairs.

• Identify misaligned or under-resourced workstreams and drive resolution.

• Support and remove barriers to innovation initiatives that tackle complex federal healthcare challenges.

• Develop scalable program management tools, templates, business intelligence dashboards, playbooks, intake processes, status-reporting frameworks, and onboarding infrastructure.

• Utilize business intelligence tools and data capabilities to generate insights and drive action.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in program or operations leadership.

• Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs.

• Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and the challenges faced by clinicians and healthcare organizations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to foster alignment across diverse cross-functional teams and ensure accountability to shared goals and outcomes.

• Technical proficiency with a quick ability to learn complex software solutions.

• Proven problem-solving abilities with a proactive, results-driven approach.

• Strong judgment regarding when to escalate issues, make decisions, and build consensus.

• Comfort with ambiguity.

• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.

• Demonstrated success in achieving shared outcomes.

• Genuine belief in the mission that AI can enhance the lives of clinicians and patients.

• Healthcare or federal experience is preferred but not mandatory.
