Senior Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take charge of program management for intricate, multi-team software projects from the planning phase to release.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, QA, platform, and operations teams to formulate plans, resolve dependencies, and drive execution throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Convert ambiguous cross-functional challenges into program plans that include milestones, owners, and dependencies.

• Establish and continuously improve agile/Scrum ceremonies, artifacts, and governance cadence.

• Provide status reports suitable for senior leadership and proactively identify, track, and mitigate risks.

• Implement change management practices when there are shifts in scope or timelines.

• Contribute to PMO governance, define metrics, standardize processes, and monitor adherence.

• Design and implement reusable multi-step AI-driven workflows using Cowork, Jira, and Confluence.

• Maintain and distribute reusable prompts, templates, and automation tools for PMO activities.

• Act as an AI thought leader by defining quality criteria, validating outputs, and ensuring the accuracy of automation.

• Mentor and coach TPMs and PMs in program management and AI proficiency.

• Participate in roadmap planning while anticipating delivery obstacles.

• Keep program documentation, status reports, and delivery metrics updated on a consistent schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 15 years of overall industry experience, with at least 8 years in technical program management for complex, large-scale programs involving multiple cross-functional teams.

• A strong grasp of the product development lifecycle and technical program management at scale.

• Proven success in driving programs from concept to release across various teams.

• Experience in designing and deploying at least one multi-step AI or Cowork workflow that integrates multiple tools or data sources, resulting in measurable time or quality enhancements.

• Proficient in maintaining reusable prompts, skills, or workflow templates.

• Capable of configuring Cowork skills, connectors, and plugins without needing engineering assistance.

• Practical experience in automating program management workflows with AI, including data extraction and analysis from Jira and Confluence.

• Skilled in defining quality criteria, validating outputs, and ensuring the precision of automated workflows.

• Familiarity with project management tools such as the Atlassian suite, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar.

• Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies; working knowledge of SAFe.

• Experience collaborating across functions with product management, design and UX, customer success, customer support, sales, marketing, and legal teams.

• Knowledge of program and project governance, budgeting, vendor management, compliance, and metrics.

• Professional certifications such as PMI PMP, ACP, or CSM are advantageous.

• Familiarity with fintech platforms, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Self-motivated and flexible; comfortable mentoring colleagues and collaborating across different geographies and time zones.
