Director, Technical Program Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the planning, execution, and coordination for Cyberhaven's most intricate engineering programs that involve multiple teams across the organization.

• Enhance the predictability of Cyberhaven's release model by monitoring and escalating changes in scope, readiness risks, and dependencies among teams.

• Design and conduct monthly and quarterly reviews of engineering business performance.

• Gather team updates, prepare presentations for leadership, highlight risks, and ensure follow-through on actions at the executive level.

• Convert company and organizational strategies into actionable plans, success metrics, reporting standards, and operational frameworks.

• Establish and standardize metrics organization-wide for quality, release health, and velocity.

• Develop and manage review schedules, status reports, leadership presentations, and systems for tracking actions.

• Set data hygiene and governance standards within Jira and related planning tools.

• Lead complex, high-priority engineering projects that require structure and visibility at the executive level.

• Provide mentorship to program managers and engineering leaders without having formal management authority.

• Set the vision for AI-assisted dashboards and reporting workflows.

• Create and implement automations that integrate Jira, Notion, GitHub, and Slack.

• Automate the collection of status updates, tracking of follow-ups, preparation of reviews, and reporting to stakeholders.

• Revamp release reporting and business review processes to minimize manual status tracking.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Technical Program Management, Release Management, Engineering Operations, or a similar technical cross-functional position.

• Proven track record of functioning at a Director-level scope as an individual contributor.

• Experience managing end-to-end planning and execution for complex engineering projects that involve multiple teams and organizations.

• Strong technical fluency and systems thinking in engineering processes, release workflows, operational reporting, and execution management.

• Capability to foster accountability, coordination, and follow-through throughout the engineering organization without direct authority.

• Proficient in defining success metrics, tracking execution health, and generating executive-level reports and decision support materials.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience overseeing monthly and quarterly business reviews, executive updates, and cross-functional status reports.

• Extensive knowledge of Jira-based workflows, reporting, and process hygiene at scale.

• Strong judgment in prioritization, escalation, and providing leadership support in ambiguous or rapidly changing situations.

• Comfortable utilizing automation and AI to enhance reporting and workflow execution.

• Experience managing QBRs, executive reporting, and engineering metrics programs at the organizational or company level.

• Familiarity with DORA-style metrics, SLO/SLA principles, release hygiene, and delivery scorecards.

• Experience creating AI-assisted dashboards, automations, or reporting systems.

• Background in security, SaaS, endpoint, platform, or infrastructure-heavy environments.

• Experience supporting globally distributed engineering teams.

• Previous experience operating at a Director or Principal level as an individual contributor, not as a people manager.

• Authorization to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
