Professional Learning Specialist, Midwest

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Act as a product specialist, offering educators tailored implementation strategies to meet their specific classroom requirements.

• Collaborate with school and district leaders to design and conduct both virtual and in-person professional development aimed at facilitating successful IXL implementation.

• Travel to conduct in-person professional development sessions at various schools and districts, with potential travel of up to 60% during the back-to-school season and up to 40% for the rest of the year.

• Organize, host, and present at regional IXL Live events.

• Work in close partnership with the events team to ensure a smooth and engaging event experience.

• Team up with the sales department to assist schools that are piloting IXL.

• Collaborate with customer success and sales team members to nurture and expand customer relationships.

• Assist educators across various grade levels, subjects, and districts in the implementation of IXL and enhancement of classroom instruction.

• Facilitate both virtual and in-person professional development sessions.

• Deliver national webinars.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree required.

• A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a K-12 environment is necessary.

• Previous experience in department- or school-level leadership is a plus.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience in educational professional development.

• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Highly organized, methodical, and detail-oriented.

• Capable of prioritizing and effectively managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, from initiation to completion.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Familiarity with Google Apps and Zoom is essential.

• Must reside near a major airport.

• Candidates should be located in the Midwest region of the United States, ideally within the Chicago, IL, metropolitan area.
