This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and adjust customer artwork utilizing Adobe Illustrator and/or CorelDRAW.
• Create production-ready vector graphics.
• Reproduce, refine, and correctly format artwork provided by customers.
• Prepare designs for signage, apparel, promotional items, storefronts, and other related uses.
• Size and format artwork suitable for the intended production methods.
• Transform unsuitable customer files into viable production artwork.
• Evaluate incoming design and quotation requests.
• Understand customer instructions to produce initial concepts and proofs.
• Modify artwork according to feedback received.
• Finalize files for production following approval.
• Ensure timely turnaround for urgent and time-sensitive requests.
• Check dimensions, resolution, file types, and other artwork specifications prior to production.
• Recreate or convert raster artwork into vector formats when necessary.
• Keep organized working and final production files.
• Adhere to established naming conventions, storage protocols, approval processes, production standards, and workflows.
• Communicate design requirements and inquiries with the owner.
• Familiarize with the company's design aesthetic and customer expectations.
• Prioritize projects based on production deadlines.
• Execute client revisions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide support for a Maryland-based signage, printing, and promotional products company catering to both individual and commercial clients.
• Required professional graphic design experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or CorelDRAW is essential.
• A solid understanding of vector graphics is required.
• Experience in preparing print-ready or production-ready artwork is highly preferred.
• Experience in signage, large-format printing, apparel, promotional products, print shop, or similar production design is strongly preferred.
• Required knowledge of raster versus vector artwork, resolution, scaling, and file preparation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant professional design work is required.
• Formal graphic design education is preferred, but practical production experience is prioritized.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Adobe Creative Suite, vector and print production tools, Loom, and Canva as a secondary tool is necessary.
• Ability to complete industry-specific training for clients.
• Availability for 20 contracted hours per week, Monday through Friday, during flexible EST business hours.
• Must work under a Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work as an independent contractor.
