Production and Editorial Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the production lifecycle and ensure timely delivery of lasting educational programs across digital, print, and multimedia platforms.

• Develop and oversee multiple simultaneous production timelines for educational programs, social media, print, and promotional activities.

• Coordinate production schedules among editorial, design, multimedia, web, marketing, and project management teams.

• Track project progress, identify potential risks and bottlenecks, and resolve scheduling conflicts.

• Provide succinct status updates to executive leadership.

• Act as the final quality checkpoint for enduring educational materials across both digital and print formats.

• Conduct proofreading, light copyediting, formatting, and quality assurance on educational, promotional, and web-based content.

• Compare editorial revisions with source documents to ensure that approved changes are accurately implemented.

• Review web content, rectify formatting issues, and confirm late-breaking updates.

• Perform pre-launch quality assurance reviews of web products, assessing functionality, navigation, links, embedded media, downloads, and user experience.

• Ensure adherence to editorial standards, patient privacy regulations, copyright policies, and production processes.

• Maintain and update production workflows, standard operating procedures, style guides, and documentation.

• Suggest process enhancements to minimize errors and boost efficiency.

• Collaborate with editorial, content, multimedia, web, marketing, and design teams.

• Assist with marketing emails, social media copy, and additional communications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in proofreading, copyediting, editorial production, or media production (print, digital, audio/video, or online publishing).

• Experience serving as a final quality control reviewer for published materials.

• Preferred experience in production management or cross-functional project management.

• Excellent written communication, organizational, and project management skills.

• High level of proficiency with Adobe Acrobat.

• Familiarity with—or the ability to quickly learn—project management and annotation tools such as Asana, Airtable, Front, GoProof, or similar platforms.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
