This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +41 more states.
β’ Act as a strategic business consultant and market authority.
β’ Offer insights regarding regulatory developments, emerging trends, and their implications for the business.
β’ Lead initiatives that require cross-functional collaboration and assist in product implementation.
β’ Provide counsel to senior leadership and deliver data-driven recommendations that shape strategy and operations.
β’ Research and track local regulatory environments.
β’ Present findings and analyses to various management tiers.
β’ Recognize emerging trends and issues within the assigned territory and share insights with leadership.
β’ Conduct in-depth analysis of specific functions or business areas and convert findings into process enhancements and strategic guidance.
β’ Interpret proposals, assess findings, and direct outcomes.
β’ Regularly present to senior management, including those at the VP level.
β’ Support new product launches as a subject matter expert in the local market.
β’ Lead and engage in complex cross-functional projects involving system defects, discounts, forms, and changes in contracting.
β’ Provide mentorship and training to junior team members.
β’ Develop sophisticated policy language with minimal assistance from Legal.
β’ Maintain rule manuals and eligibility criteria.
β’ Prepare responses to filing objections and oversee market conduct examinations.
β’ Collaborate effectively with colleagues throughout the organization at all levels.
β’ BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
β’ Over 6 years of relevant work experience, usually including 5 or more years in the personal lines P&C sector.
β’ Prior experience in state product management roles or related functions such as pricing, product strategy and development, or data science.
β’ Profound knowledge of the state insurance regulatory landscape and market, including rates, rules, and forms.
β’ Excellent understanding of insurance products.
β’ Exceptional analytical and processing skills with the ability to grasp the broader context and make sound recommendations.
β’ Strong communication skills.
β’ Capability to lead through influence and propel work forward.
β’ Ability to conduct meetings and deliver formal presentations.
β’ Organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Expert knowledge of insurance concepts.
β’ Willingness to travel as required for divisional/team meetings and other in-person engagements.
β’ Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States.
β’ Must not require immigration assistance or visa sponsorship now or in the future.
β’ An MBA, CPCU certification, or actuarial designation (ACAS, FCAS) is a plus.
