This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Strengthen connections with current customers by leading and facilitating collaborative sales initiatives.
• Enhance assigned product lines within designated markets.
• Assist Account or Strategic Account Managers in closing qualified customer opportunities.
• Partner with Account Managers and Strategic Account customers.
• Support the technical development of products and identify business opportunities related to products.
• Stay informed about competing products and market developments.
• Meet sales objectives for assigned product lines and/or markets.
• Foster product-line success for a designated team of Branches.
• Offer technical product support to customers, Account Managers, and Branches.
• Conduct training sessions, including classroom, on-site, product application, end-market, and product training.
• Spearhead demand-generating activities in assigned markets.
• Establish professional relationships with key associates and customer accounts.
• Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, support resources, purchasing, and management.
• Review product specifications and requirements, and assess new product concepts.
• Advise on product applications and functionalities.
• Compare company products with those of competitors.
• Accompany customers with Account Managers and assess the outcomes of sales calls.
• Maintain professional and technical expertise through ongoing education, publications, and industry associations.
• Conduct research and analysis on market conditions, competitors, and customer trends.
• Identify opportunities for product innovation and enhancements.
• Create sales tools and training materials.
• Contribute to marketing collateral development.
• Implement sales strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Promote continuous improvement in sales and profitability.
• Manage cross-functional communication and provide product-related customer support, feedback, and inquiries.
• Oversee market research to monitor customer feedback.
• Perform additional duties as trained and qualified.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of sales experience in a business-to-business environment with large/strategic customers; or a proven track record in the Account Manager role.
• Product certification or equivalent technical qualification.
• Reliable transportation is essential.
• Willingness to travel 60%+ as necessary, including overnight trips.
• Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Background checks and drug screening may be mandated by the Company, Customer, or DOT regulations, as legally permissible.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and safety protocols.
• Capable of understanding safety regulations, operating and maintenance guidelines, inventory sheets, and procedural documents.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work in both office and field settings, including customer sites, warehouses, industrial facilities, and construction sites.
• Capability to remain in a stationary position for extended durations.
• Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
• Ability to navigate job sites, including occasional uneven surfaces.
• Ability to climb and descend ladders or stairs.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations and job sites as needed.
