Product Security Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement Rapid7 products in various customer settings while adhering to security best practices.

• Record implementation choices for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Develop and tailor solutions utilizing Python, SQL, and REST APIs.

• Create reporting workflows, custom dashboards, and data pipeline integrations.

• Collaborate with sales teams to define project scopes and offer technical insights during the pre-sales phase.

• Foster cross-functional teamwork and enhance internal processes.

• Contribute to delivery materials, tools, and operational frameworks.

• Address technical deployment challenges while considering stakeholder viewpoints.

• Travel occasionally for specific customer engagements as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience with security technologies such as SIEM, vulnerability management, identity and access management, GRC, or endpoint protection.

• Proficient in Python, including the creation of well-documented and maintainable scripts that interact with REST APIs, relational databases (Postgres), and data pipelines.

• Capability to write and optimize SQL queries, including complex JOINs and subqueries.

• Comprehensive understanding of network protocols such as DHCP, IP, DNS, and HTTP/S.

• Experience in deploying workloads across AWS, Azure, or GCP, encompassing configuration and policy management.

• Administrator-level expertise with Windows Server or Linux environments.

• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical decisions to a varied audience.

• Proven ability to drive implementation results and uphold commitments.

• Skillful in navigating change and uncertainty within customer environments.

• Familiarity with the InsightVM data model, ticketing systems, CI/CD pipelines, password vaults, or previous consulting experience.
