Product Owner – Truss Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take charge of executing the product roadmap for a designated focus area or product line.

• Convert strategic objectives into actionable development initiatives.

• Collaborate with Development Managers on sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and defining release scope.

• Utilize ITW’s Customer-Back Innovation framework to identify and prioritize customer pain points.

• Transform customer insights into product requirements and features.

• Validate concepts with users and iterate based on their feedback.

• Create and maintain user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

• Ensure the backlog is prioritized, refined, and aligned with development requirements.

• Work closely with UX/UI teams to ensure designs meet user needs and business goals.

• Engage daily with Product Management, Engineering, QA, Development, and UI/UX Design teams.

• Facilitate standups, sprint planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Coordinate with support and implementation teams to ensure successful releases.

• Develop a deep understanding of component manufacturing workflows and Alpine tools.

• Observe actual customer usage to guide product decisions.

• Ensure that delivered features align with acceptance criteria and meet customer expectations.

• Provide support for UAT, documentation, and release readiness.

• Manage customer beta trials.

• Report on progress, risks, and dependencies during monthly CBI gate meetings.

• Advocate for customer needs within development teams.

• Maintain visibility into sprint outcomes, priorities, and progress on the roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is advantageous.

• Over 4 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within a development team.

• Certification as a Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is preferred.

• Experience in software product strategy and management with a proven track record of delivering value.

• Familiarity with complex customer environments and/or relevant industry experience.

• Proven experience leading software product development in an Agile setting, using frameworks such as Scrum and SAFe.

• Excellent team/project management, communication, and presentation skills.

• Self-driven, energetic, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Ability to adapt to and thrive in a changing environment.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
