Product Owner, Team Manager – Business Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Offer PERS a comprehensive overview of all product lines.

• Lead the team of Product Owners.

• Support initiatives that continue to benefit the retirement system.

• Operate within the Modernization Program section and the Modernization Division.

• Assist in developing solutions and implementing essential agency decisions.

• Manage public employee benefit trusts to ensure beneficiaries receive the correct benefits at the appropriate time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years in a leading role, supervisory experience, or progressively related experience; OR two years of relevant experience along with a bachelor's degree in a related field.

• In-depth understanding of product management processes and methodologies.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision in work.

• Agile/SCRUM certification is required; PMP certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with waterfall methodology.

• 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner is preferred.

• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.

• Proficient in user acceptance testing.

• Preference may be given to residents of Oregon and Washington.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or a qualified non-citizen.

• Completion of I-9 documentation and verification of authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.

• Final candidates will undergo a criminal history check.

• A general cover letter is required.
