Product Owner, Mid-level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Provide support for financial systems.

• Serve as the functional owner of finance systems, ensuring their ongoing functionality and alignment with business requirements.

• Oversee and prioritize requests, incidents, and critical issues, ensuring they are managed effectively within established service level agreements (SLAs).

• Conduct root cause analyses and coordinate action plans to prevent future occurrences.

• Act as the main liaison between business units and IT teams regarding support-related issues.

• Evaluate the impact of system modifications on financial and operational processes.

• Continuously assess system health, identifying potential risks and areas for enhancement.

• Maintain a close and ongoing partnership with Finance departments.

• Facilitate regular alignment, prioritization, and follow-up meetings for requests.

• Collect requirements, map processes, and translate business needs for technical teams.

• Ensure effective and ongoing communication among stakeholders, key users, and technology teams.

• Lead initiatives for system evolution, automation, and digital transformation within the finance sector.

• Coordinate activities from scope definition to production deployment.

• Develop schedules, action plans, risk assessments, and track project deliveries.

• Conduct project ceremonies and executive status meetings.

• Assist with testing, user acceptance, training, and change management processes.

• Keep the backlog of improvements and requests updated and prioritized.

• Establish prioritization criteria based on financial impact, regulatory risks, user experience, and business value.

• Collaborate closely with development teams to clarify requirements and oversee deliveries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Understanding of essential finance processes, including:

• Contracting and Billing

• Accounts Receivable

• Revenue Recognition

• Collections and Payment Application

• Financial and Accounting Controls

• Proficient in English (advanced level required)

• Familiarity with Systems and Tools:

• Backlog management (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)

• Documentation tools (Confluence or similar)

• Knowledge of Power BI and AI (preferred)

• Experience with ERP systems, financial systems, and integrations

• Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Knowledge of Kanban

• Project management experience
