Product Owner – Medical Cost Containment, JIRA Expertise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage the product backlog in JIRA, prioritizing features, enhancements, and defects in line with business value and strategic goals.

• Create clear, concise user stories with measurable acceptance criteria to guide engineering and QA teams.

• Collaborate with clients, operations, compliance, engineering, QA, and leadership to gather, refine, and document requirements.

• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.

• Define the product roadmap and release plans in accordance with business and regulatory priorities.

• Ensure that delivered features fulfill business objectives, operational needs, and healthcare regulatory standards.

• Analyze workflows to pinpoint opportunities for automation, optimization, and increased efficiency.

• Work alongside QA to validate acceptance criteria and guarantee high-quality product releases.

• Monitor metrics, risks, and delivery progress; provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Manager within an Agile environment.

• Strong, hands-on experience with JIRA, including backlog management, workflows, dashboards, and reporting.

• Proven experience in writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.

• In-depth understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint execution.

• Excellent skills in communication, stakeholder management, and documentation.

• Capability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical deliverables.

• Experience in healthcare technology, healthcare operations, or regulated environments is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with medical cost containment and/or Out-of-Network (OON) pricing is advantageous.
