Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Define and convey requirements and business value to clients, solution engineering, and stakeholders.

• Document requirements in Product Requirements Documents and Statements of Work.

• Assist in the sale and scoping of service-oriented engagements.

• Maintain and prioritize a backlog that is ready for Sprint Planning.

• Accept User Stories based on established acceptance criteria and the Definition of Done.

• Engage in release and Product Increment planning.

• Contribute to the Product Roadmap, Product Vision, and Strategy.

• Collaborate with Product Team members to draft and prioritize user stories.

• Work together with Scrum Masters to embrace agility and enhance product value.

• Ensure user stories fulfill the Definition of Ready and include acceptance criteria.

• Coordinate dependencies and activities with other Product Owners.

• Share market, client, and business insights with the Product Team.

• Develop and disseminate relevant product domain expertise.

• Monitor Product Increment and Release objectives and communicate progress.

• Prioritize deficiencies, defects, and enhancements reported by customers.

• Lead Program Increment planning sessions.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

• Present Product Team efforts during Sprint Reviews and gather stakeholder feedback.

• Clearly articulate the Product Vision and Strategy to the Product Team.

• Review and contribute to user and technical documentation.

• Prepare product release documentation and related materials.

• Represent the voice of the customer within the Product Team.

• Build and sustain productive relationships with customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of industry experience as a Product Owner in an Agile software development environment.

• Demonstrated understanding of Agile product management principles using Scrum.

• Proficient in the Atlassian suite (Jira & Confluence) or similar tools.

• CSPO certification or equivalent work experience.

• Familiarity with SQL.

• Knowledge of APIs.

• Experience using AI tools, including ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini/Figma Make, to create Product Artifacts.

• A degree in business or a technical field.

• Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.

• Ability to rapidly adapt to new business domains and technical concepts.

• Proven track record of leading a high-performance team and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively in a team-of-teams development environment.

• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

• Consistent and structured management of information, documentation, agile boards, and other artifacts.

• Experience as an agile Product Owner in a professional services organization (tiebreaker).

• Experience delivering software development solutions for clients (tiebreaker).

• Background in WealthTech, FinTech, or Enterprise software (tiebreaker).

• Knowledge of wealth management services (tiebreaker).

• Demonstrated experience transitioning into new business domains and quickly adapting (tiebreaker).

• Experience with stock trading or making personal investment decisions (tiebreaker).
