This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from planning through development, launch, and ongoing improvements.
• Assist in product definition, development, and delivery in line with the RouteOne systems lifecycle process.
• Lead release planning and maintain regular communication with product stakeholders.
• Perform market research, including visits to dealers and finance source customers, to pinpoint issues.
• Convey dealer and finance source requirements through comprehensive problem statements.
• Outline solutions by drafting requirements and user stories while managing the product backlog.
• Collaborate with development teams to groom and refine the backlog, prioritizing stakeholder needs.
• Engage with customers to deliver tailored functionality and enhancements.
• Work alongside user experience designers to establish product interactions.
• Evaluate the competitive landscape and user as well as buyer expectations.
• Ensure that acceptance criteria are fulfilled.
• Organize and conduct regular product updates.
• Contribute to the long-term product roadmap.
• Coordinate with Legal and Security to address pertinent requirements.
• Aid dealer and finance source sales initiatives through the creation of sales materials and presentations.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert for designated functional product areas.
• Uphold safety, security, and privacy standards.
• Extensive understanding of automotive financing dealer and finance source processes.
• Knowledge of technology, particularly software.
• Familiarity with agile software implementation methodologies, specifically Scrum.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.
• Experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms.
• Familiarity with software mockup and prototyping tools, such as Figma or Balsamiq.
• Experience with issue tracking tools like JIRA.
• Ability to think critically and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Strong time management abilities.
• Experience in owning and managing projects.
• Demonstrated leadership and facilitation capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Focused on problem-solving and solution implementation.
• Capable of flexibility, adaptability, and conflict management.
• Self-motivated and self-directed, with effective communication skills across internal and external organizations.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a software product owner.
• A degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience is a plus.
• Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus.
• Sales and Marketing experience focused on new product development is advantageous.
• Pragmatic Marketing certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel; occasional trips to customer sites in North America (10%).
