Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the engineering team backlog, ensuring it is prioritized and in a state ready for action.

• Prioritize strategic features, handle customer escalations, manage technical debt, and resolve bugs, clearly articulating trade-offs.

• Recognize and escalate technical, organizational, cross-team, and strategic obstacles.

• Conduct daily stand-ups, backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

• Convert validated solutions into user stories, acceptance criteria, and structured delivery plans in collaboration with Product Engineers.

• Collaborate with Customer Success and Support to assess customer escalations and define problems.

• Establish delivery expectations and provide consistent updates on completed work and items at risk.

• Champion clarity, focus, and protection from distractions for the engineering team.

• Enhance the throughput of the engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Technical Program Manager in an agile B2B SaaS setting.

• In-depth understanding of agile and Scrum practices.

• Proven ability to prioritize inputs from strategic, customer, and technical perspectives.

• Capability to identify and escalate blockers effectively.

• Technical proficiency, including the ability to read API specifications and engage in discussions about architecture and engineering trade-offs.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A meticulous and organized approach to managing the backlog.

• A collaborative mindset with a low-ego approach to teamwork.

• Required experience with SaaS platforms and API integrations.

• Experience in IT Asset Management, ITSM, or similar enterprise IT roles is highly advantageous.
