This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the product backlog, ensuring stories are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with sprint objectives.
• Draft clear, testable, customer-focused epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions with the Scrum team.
• Engage in daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Confirm that user stories satisfy the definitions of ready and done prior to development and release.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and internal teams to gather and refine requirements.
• Utilize AI tools as necessary to develop epics, themes, and user stories.
• Perform gap analysis and verify requirements for completeness and feasibility.
• Enhance use cases, workflows, and functional documentation.
• Act as the primary liaison for development teams throughout sprint execution.
• Work alongside UX/UI designers to ensure design alignment and usability objectives.
• Assist QA teams by clarifying acceptance criteria and reviewing test cases.
• Coordinate with other Product Owners regarding feature interdependencies.
• Document feature requests, enhancement suggestions, and feedback during stakeholder meetings.
• Communicate backlog priorities, delivery schedules, and sprint progress to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure that delivered features meet the expectations of customers and stakeholders.
• Apply knowledge of healthcare claims workflows, billing terminology, and reimbursement processes.
• Support compliance with HIPAA and HITECH alongside internal teams.
• Translate complex healthcare requirements into comprehensible product features.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Over 2 years of experience as a product owner in the healthcare technology or claims administration sector.
• Knowledge of Agile software development and Scrum methodology.
• Proficient in Jira or comparable Agile tools for managing backlogs.
• Basic understanding of software development processes and technical limitations.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Confluence, Miro, Figma, or similar platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and swiftly resolving blockers.
• Preference for candidates with over 2 years of experience utilizing AI tools for product development, requirements engineering, or business analysis.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or a similar Agile certification is preferred.
• Understanding of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, and X12 EDI.
• Ability to work across multiple time zones in a hybrid or remote work setup.
