This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full ownership of Orchestrator’s product backlog from start to finish, which includes grooming, prioritization, dependency management, and ensuring sprint readiness.
• Guarantee that sprint items have well-defined acceptance criteria to reduce scope ambiguity and minimize rework.
• Frame backlog items as testable hypotheses whenever applicable.
• Lead the ceremonies for sprint planning, refinement, review, and retrospectives.
• Convert strategic direction into clear and well-structured user stories.
• Initiate and organize discovery work for each sprint cycle, encompassing user feedback synthesis, assumption mapping, and delivery retrospectives.
• Provide recommendations based on evidence.
• Clarify requirements during development, assist engineers in overcoming obstacles, and safeguard the integrity of the sprint.
• Define, monitor, and report on delivery health KPIs via Jira, including sprint predictability, defect leakage, and cycle time.
• Offer a delivery-informed perspective in roadmap and product direction discussions.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience in product ownership or a closely related role within a technology company.
• Ideally served as the primary or sole Product Owner for a product.
• Profound understanding of the software development lifecycle, which includes development, staging, production, QA evaluation, and release.
• Capability to independently manage a complete product backlog, comprising stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and prioritization.
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Proficient in Jira for managing projects, backlogs, and sprints.
• Experience in an early-stage, high-growth, fast-paced startup setting.
• Familiarity with MS Office/Excel, Google Suite, and Notion.
• Ability to drive projects to completion with accountability while considering customer needs and taking calculated risks.
• Capability to start with customer needs and work backwards, effectively managing tasks, resources, and priorities.
• Proactive, clear, concise, and respectful communication; able to challenge decisions and commit once they are made; actively seeks, provides, and acts on feedback.
• Portuguese — Fluent.
• English — Advanced.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to support events and meet the team.
