This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Lead the vision, development, and execution of a scalable data curation pipeline aimed at supporting computer vision model training.
• Articulate and share the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Ensure alignment of the product strategy with the organization's objectives, market opportunities, and go-to-market initiatives.
• Keep abreast of trends in data curation, computer vision, and machine learning.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
• Collect requirements and convert them into actionable product features.
• Collaborate with business development and sales teams to address customer challenges and assess competitive landscapes.
• Work together with DoD research labs, program offices, and federal organizations.
• Establish and nurture relationships with DoD stakeholders and contractors.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog effectively.
• Partner with engineering and data science teams to create scalable, efficient, and user-friendly data curation pipelines.
• Define and monitor product metrics.
• Solicit user feedback to foster continuous product enhancements.
• Create go-to-market strategies, product messaging, positioning, and collateral.
• Assist in pre-sales and post-sales initiatives with product expertise.
• Utilize knowledge of DoD contracting mechanisms and procurement processes.
• Ensure adherence to DoD contract and funding requirements.
• Collaborate with legal, procurement, and compliance teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar capacity, ideally within AI, machine learning, or data-focused products.
• Profound understanding of computer vision principles, machine learning workflows, and data curation methods.
• Proven track record in developing and launching go-to-market products.
• Practical experience with data pipelines, metadata management, and data labeling processes.
• Knowledge of tools and platforms utilized in computer vision model training and labeling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Background working with Department of Defense research labs, program offices, or comparable organizations.
• Familiarity with federal and DoD-specific contract mechanisms such as OTAs, CSOs, SBIR/STTR programs, and IDIQ contracts.
• Technical expertise in software development, data engineering, or data science.
• Understanding of security clearance processes and classified environments.
• An active Secret security clearance or higher is mandatory.
• Must possess US work authorization without any current or future visa sponsorship requirements.
