Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Product Manager to establish and communicate a product vision and roadmap that aligns with business objectives, technical sustainability, and modernization goals.

• Independently prioritize and oversee the backlog, which includes features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Convert business needs into actionable requirements.

• Work closely with stakeholders, engineering, and architecture to enhance current system supportability, mitigate technology risks, and align the modernization scope, feasibility, and outcomes.

• Assist in life insurance conversion and modernization requirements, dependencies, and acceptance criteria for transitioning from legacy mainframes to current administrative systems.

• Coordinate validation, testing, and operational readiness, focusing on policy data, downstream effects, and service continuity.

• Lead backlog refinement sessions and discussions regarding requirements.

• Guide sprint planning and engage in Agile ceremonies to clarify priorities and facilitate delivery.

• Utilize data and success metrics to assess outcomes, communicate progress, identify gaps, escalate risks, and adjust priorities accordingly.

• Collaborate with UX/UI and engineering teams to develop usable and technically feasible solutions.

• Champion continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) principles to enhance delivery and product quality.

• Foster strong partnerships, mentor team members, share knowledge, and contribute to ongoing team improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner.

• Experience in life insurance conversion, including migrating policies from legacy mainframe platforms to current administrative systems, covering requirements, data mapping and reconciliation, testing, cutover, and post-conversion stabilization.

• Background in supporting technical sustainability, modernization, and legacy system retirement while ensuring business continuity.

• Knowledge of financial services and life insurance administration.

• Familiarity with scaled Agile framework environments.

• Proficient in Azure DevOps or similar tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Product Owner certification.

• Completion of employment verification and a background check is required as part of the onboarding process.

• Verification of job titles and employment dates with two previous employers.
