This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Assist with daily satellite imaging tasking and execution.
• Convert customer and internal requests into actionable acquisition strategies, establish priorities, and oversee the collection and delivery of imagery.
• Oversee and assess the fulfillment of imagery orders, acquisition progress, and priorities for both internal and external clients.
• Ensure transparency for Product, Operations, and Commercial stakeholders.
• Assess the feasibility of tasking and communicate any limitations, risks, or alternative solutions.
• Create and uphold operational metrics, KPIs, and reporting standards.
• Develop and enhance scripts, tools, and workflows associated with satellite tasking and product operations.
• Assist in the planning of near-term imaging forecasts.
• Collaborate with Mission Operations regarding spacecraft activities, calibration needs, satellite statuses, and internal sensor testing tasking.
• Aid customer platform operations including user setup, account access, entitlements, KYC screening, and similar activities.
• Coordinate execution and deliverables with external vendors and service partners.
• Engage in a weekly on-call support rotation approximately every 4–6 weeks.
• Assist with other product and satellite data operations tasks as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial, Computer Science, Aerospace, or a related technical discipline.
• Over 5 years of relevant operational experience, preferably in space mission operations, Earth observation, geospatial technology, or a similarly intensive technical setting.
• Proficient in working with APIs, RESTful services, and system or platform integrations.
• Experience in a product-facing capacity is preferred, including collaboration with external stakeholders, contractors, and technical teams in support of mission partnerships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across both technical and non-technical teams.
• Basic scripting and technical abilities, including experience with Python scripting, working with Jupyter notebooks, and familiarity with cloud-based tools and services such as AWS.
• Experience in a startup or rapidly growing technology environment is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
