Product Manager – Trading API

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Define the roadmap for Alpaca Connect / Marketplace, focusing on self-service partner onboarding and approval, app discovery and distribution, OAuth / consent experiences, and platform utilities.

• Lead the product strategy for Trading API by understanding the needs of customers and partners, analyzing ROI, evaluating market competition, and assessing build-vs-buy opportunities.

• Collaborate with engineering, design, operations, data, partnerships, and other cross-functional teams to define and own product requirements.

• Manage product metrics through data analytics to assess success, identify opportunities, and drive ongoing improvement.

• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to enhance product adoption, activation, retention, and revenue growth.

• Foster Trading API growth in areas such as acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization by analyzing the user funnel, eliminating friction, optimizing conversion rates, and conducting experiments.

• Assume responsibility for ad hoc projects and initiatives as business needs change.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, STEM, or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, Trading, or in developing your own product.

• A strong enthusiasm for trading, markets, and financial products.

• Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in SQL.

• Solid business acumen, capable of balancing user experience, stakeholder requirements, technical feasibility, and resource limitations.

• Ability to think strategically, addressing immediate issues while keeping the long-term objectives of the company in focus.

• Highly self-motivated, with outstanding communication skills to connect technical and non-technical audiences.
