Product Manager – Tailscale-Native Apps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the roadmap for the native applications experience: TSNet, tailscale-rs, and the tailscale CLI.

• Define the concept of "Tailscale-native application," including reference architectures, golden paths, and embedding patterns.

• Manage the developer experience comprehensively.

• Establish the strategy for the Rust SDK family.

• Treat the CLI as an independent product.

• Oversee the internal dogfood loop.

• Collaborate with GTM and Customer Success on embedding agreements.

• Engage with developers in their preferred environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years in product management, or a transition from a software engineering background into product.

• Experience in delivering developer-facing features that are actively used in production.

• Proficiency in reading Go and/or Rust, enabling credible technical discussions about API and SDK design.

• A refined sense of developer experience.

• Conduct customer research tailored to the specific needs of developer products.
