Product Manager, New Content Initiatives, Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess and analyze third-party quantitative and qualitative datasets and content for the AlphaSense platform, encompassing market data, fundamentals, estimates, ESG, news, research, transcripts, regulatory filings, and alternative data.

• Collaborate with Partnership Management and Content Leads to evaluate data quality, methodology, licensing conditions, and integration possibilities.

• Spearhead vendor assessments, including data trials and proofs of concept.

• Develop a framework for measuring coverage, timeliness, accuracy, and historical depth.

• Create business cases for new datasets, quantifying value propositions, costs, buy-versus-build implications, and strategic alignment.

• Perform market research and competitive analysis to uncover opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

• Identify high-impact AI-driven functionalities and datasets.

• Develop strategies for licensing, target-vendor engagement, or self-sourcing to incorporate new content into the AlphaSense platform and agentic workflows.

• Monitor industry trends, competing platforms, and solutions to provide competitive intelligence and refine product and content vision.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, engineers, content leads, and vendor management professionals.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience at a prominent financial institution or investment research platform focused on content delivery or evaluation for front-office investment professionals.

• In-depth knowledge of modern market data and investment research databases, products, and workflow tools, including Fundamentals, Estimates, Transactions data, Ownership data, Market data, News, and Transcripts.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional product development or evaluation teams comprised of engineers, content leads, and vendor management specialists.

• Strong understanding of relational and JSON databases.

• Experience conducting complex data queries and analyses using traditional data-query methods or contemporary generative AI techniques.

• Demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks, maintain focus, and meet or exceed deadlines.

• Bachelor’s degree or significant academic background in a quantitative analysis discipline.

• Experience in evaluating and integrating financial research content and AI-driven investment analysis workflows.

• A genuine enthusiasm for corporate finance, capital markets, and investment research.

• Expertise in data management illustrated through experience at a buy-side or sell-side firm or by supporting AI products/features/data utilized by investment and data analysis professionals.

• Advanced data analysis skills at scale using traditional data query or generative AI tools and platforms.

• Strong presentation abilities, capable of informing and influencing executives while aligning with various stakeholder levels.

• Experience in leading successful due diligence projects or conducting content evaluations across diverse businesses and teams in multiple locations.

• Prior experience in content acquisition and licensing is preferred.

• Previous work at a market intelligence or financial research SaaS start-up is an advantage.

• Familiarity with iterative/agile development methodologies is preferred.

• Experience working with distributed teams is preferred.
