This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for the UL891 and UL1558 switchgear platforms, power distribution systems, and their associated control architectures.
• Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle from concept to commercialization, including sustaining engineering and eventual retirement.
• Perform market analysis to uncover growth opportunities in data centers, AI infrastructure, utilities, industrial sectors, and other critical power markets.
• Transform market trends and customer needs into actionable product strategies and roadmaps.
• Create business cases to support new product introductions and portfolio investments.
• Ensure alignment of product strategy with manufacturing capabilities and financial goals.
• Define standardized product offerings, configurations, and architectures to enhance scalability and minimize engineering complexity.
• Develop Product Requirement Documents and technical specifications.
• Establish product standards that govern ratings, configurations, accessories, and performance requirements.
• Lead modularization and standardization strategies, balancing flexibility with manufacturability.
• Collaborate with Engineering to transform engineered-to-order solutions into repeatable product platforms.
• Support design decisions with a focus on manufacturability, cost optimization, reliability, and reduction of lead times.
• Act as the Voice of the Customer, translating feedback into actionable product enhancements.
• Engage with customers, consulting engineers, EPCs, hyperscalers, and channel partners to grasp emerging requirements.
• Validate new concepts and product features with customers and market stakeholders.
• Assist in strategic customer engagements and significant opportunities that require technical product expertise.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable switchgear, electrical standards, and industry regulations.
• Monitor market trends impacting AI infrastructure, power density, electrification, and data center architectures.
• Partner with Engineering to establish specifications and prioritize development initiatives.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Operations to ensure products are scalable and ready for production.
• Work alongside Sales and Marketing on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
• Coordinate with Finance regarding pricing strategies and business case development.
• Support supply chain and sourcing decisions that affect product competitiveness.
• Keep abreast of industry developments that influence switchgear, AI infrastructure, and critical power markets.
• Enhance product management processes, portfolio governance, and standardization practices.
• Contribute templates, best practices, and product frameworks throughout the organization.
• Drive continuous improvement through post-launch analysis and customer feedback.
• 7+ years of experience in product management, engineering, technical sales, or related roles within switchgear, electrical distribution, or critical power infrastructure.
• Strong technical expertise in UL891 switchboards and UL1558 metal-enclosed low-voltage power circuit breaker switchgear.
• In-depth understanding of low voltage distribution systems and breaker technologies.
• Proven experience in defining standardized products and product requirements within technical environments.
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer requirements into product specifications and roadmaps.
• Familiarity with OEM breaker ecosystems and competitive positioning among major suppliers.
• Strong comprehension of critical infrastructure markets, especially data centers and AI-driven applications.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of bridging technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel (25–35%) for customer visits, manufacturing sites, and industry engagements.
• Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center infrastructure (preferred).
• Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in launching and scaling technical products within power distribution markets (preferred).
• Familiarity with MV switchgear, modular power systems, or integrated power solutions (preferred).
• Experience in supporting standardization initiatives within manufacturing environments (preferred).
• Knowledge of pricing strategies, portfolio management, and product economics (preferred).
• Familiarity with UL891, UL1558, NEC, UL, ANSI, IEEE, and related standards.
• Product lifecycle management and roadmap development skills.
• Experience in product requirements definition (PRDs/MRDs).
• Knowledge of switchgear architecture and power distribution systems.
• Skills in market analysis and portfolio strategy.
• Expertise in technical documentation and specification writing.
• Ability to conduct risk assessment and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Willingness and ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and sourcing.
