This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of the complete product roadmap for Bankjoy's financial empowerment product aimed at kids and families, overseeing everything from discovery and requirements to launch and refinement.
• Execute thorough market research to uncover trends, competitive landscapes, and user requirements within the kids fintech and financial education sectors.
• Create user stories, personas, and journey maps for both children and their parents or guardians.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and QA teams to establish product requirements and ensure technical solutions align with both business and user objectives.
• Partner with credit union stakeholders to better understand member needs and deliver value to both financial institutions and families.
• Spearhead the ideation, development, and launch of features that promote financial engagement, savings habits, goal-setting, and financial literacy.
• Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, simplifying complex concepts into actionable strategies.
• Prioritize the product backlog and work with engineering leadership to ensure timely execution.
• Define, monitor, and analyze product performance metrics and user engagement data; iterate based on feedback and market changes.
• Ensure that all initiatives adhere to regulatory standards, including COPPA and CFPB guidelines for financial products aimed at minors.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Education, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in product management within fintech, digital banking, financial wellness, or financial education; candidates lacking this experience will not be considered.
• A strong passion for financial empowerment and education.
• Ideally, direct experience in developing products for younger audiences, families, or underserved communities.
• Proven history of managing a product throughout its entire lifecycle, from initial launch to growth and iterations.
• Solid understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks for financial products, particularly those for minors.
• Experience in conducting comprehensive market research and converting insights into successful product features.
• Exceptional skills in creating detailed user stories and managing intricate product portfolios across various stakeholders.
• Experience with financial institutions, credit unions, or community banks is a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Agile/Scrum certification or experience in an Agile setting is a plus.
• Ability to work standard business hours aligned with Eastern Time.
• Authorization to work in Canada.
