This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +4 more states.
• Take ownership of the product roadmap for intermodal functionality within N4 and associated TOS products.
• Gain insights into customer operations at intermodal facilities, pinpoint product gaps, and develop ideas to enhance market share and elevate customer experience.
• Establish the automation strategy for rail operations, encompassing automated rail-mounted gantry cranes, automated stacking cranes, and various rail yard equipment.
• Foster a shared vision across the organization and build consensus on priorities to drive product execution.
• Oversee user interfaces utilized by dispatchers, planners, clerks, and equipment operators in intermodal workflows.
• Propel product development in collaboration with engineers and designers.
• Incorporate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product specifications.
• Define and assess metrics for the success of intermodal products.
• Develop a standardized integration methodology for partners collaborating with Kaleris.
• Comprehend Kaleris's strategic and competitive landscape and deliver industry-leading products.
• Design and refine intermodal TOS solutions that optimize container management at intermodal and inland rail facilities.
• Own the product vision for intermodal functionality within N4, identify integration opportunities, gather requirements, collaborate with engineering, and validate features.
• Manage the user experience for terminal operators, rail planners, and dispatchers.
• Collaborate with product teams across TOS and Rail, engaging customers as well as Kaleris Sales and Services teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Over 3 years of practical experience in container terminal operations, including yard planning, vessel planning, rail operations, gate operations, or equipment dispatch.
• Alternatively, over 3 years of experience implementing or supporting Terminal Operating Systems at container terminals.
• Strong grasp of container terminal workflows, including vessel operations, yard management, rail loading/unloading, and gate processes.
• Direct experience with intermodal transfers between marine terminals and rail/truck operations.
• Knowledge of real-time optimization and job dispatching in automated settings.
• Analytical mindset accompanied by robust problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A passion for simplifying complex challenges and crafting exceptional products.
• Preferred: MBA or Master's degree.
• Preferred: Over 5 years of product management experience in developing software solutions.
• Preferred: Proven history of launching one or more products with measurable outcomes.
• Preferred: Familiarity with N4, SPARCS, or other significant Terminal Operating Systems.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of rail operations within a terminal setting.
• Preferred: Familiarity with terminal equipment operations, including RTGs, RMGs, reach stackers, and terminal tractors.
• Preferred: Understanding of EDI messaging standards utilized in terminal-rail communication.
• Preferred: Experience as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Preferred: Knowledge of integration patterns such as APIs, EDI, and equipment automation interfaces.
• Preferred: Experience in supply chain software products and/or the rail freight sector.
• Preferred: Willingness to travel up to 20%.
