Product Manager – Fraud Prevention, Card Issuing and Acquiring

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Align customer requirements with business objectives and market trends

• Oversee transaction monitoring and initiatives aimed at fraud prevention

• Manage the dispute processes for card payments and cash withdrawals utilizing Asaas cards

• Contribute to the strategic vision of the product aligned with business goals, regulations from the Central Bank of Brazil, and customer expectations

• Develop and oversee the squad roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on risk and impact assessments

• Organize and prioritize the backlog, breaking down initiatives into incremental deliverables

• Eliminate obstacles to ensure continuous delivery

• Create and maintain documentation using Jira and Confluence

• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Data teams to establish secure, high-quality, and traceable solutions

• Manage external vendors and coordinate multiple data sources

• Work in tandem with fraud prevention, risk, cybersecurity, and other related teams

• Define and monitor key metrics including approval rates, fraud losses, false-positive rates, review times, and automation rates

• Experiment with new strategies and strive for continuous improvement

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in fintech, specifically within the payments sector

• Background in fraud prevention and/or transaction monitoring

• Capability to translate complex requirements into actionable strategies

• Proficient in data analysis and fundamental product metrics

• Familiarity with fraud prevention systems and decision/rules engines

• Knowledge of SQL

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Acquainted with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban

• Relevant professional training or certifications (such as Tera or PM3) — a plus

• Experience with card issuing and acquiring — a plus

• Background in developing rapidly growing digital products — a plus

• Familiarity with Design Thinking and basic UX/UI principles — a plus
