Product Manager, Billing & Collections

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the long-term vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for Billing & Collections.

• Make strategic trade-offs that balance customer value, revenue, risk, and engineering complexity.

• Enhance understanding of customers and the market through operator insights, competitive analysis, and product data.

• Identify significant problems and opportunities for growth.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Customer Success, and GTM teams.

• Design and implement dependable billing experiences.

• Lead enhancements across subscriptions, recurring payments, invoicing, dunning, notifications, payment recovery, automation, and AI applications.

• Establish product metrics and leverage experimentation and analytics to inform decision-making.

• Assess payment success, involuntary churn, recovery rates, adoption, and cost-efficiency impacts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in product management.

• Proven track record of managing complex products from strategy through to launch.

• Background in payments, billing, fintech, SaaS subscriptions, commerce, or a closely related field.

• Strong empathy for customers, sound business judgment, and analytical abilities.

• Capability to transform ambiguous challenges into clear product initiatives and measurable results.

• Demonstrated cross-functional leadership with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to influence executives, engineers, and customer-facing teams.

• Practical experience with subscription billing, dunning or payment recovery, payment routing, risk/fraud management, API-based platforms, or data/AI-driven product capabilities is highly advantageous.
