Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of a product area dedicated to backoffice cloud data processing solutions.

• Drive the product strategy and execution, outline the roadmap, and oversee the lifecycle of Verra Mobility’s backoffice systems.

• Conduct ongoing customer discovery through interviews, ride-alongs, and data analysis.

• Clearly frame customer and business challenges supported by evidence.

• Establish and uphold a prioritized, outcome-focused roadmap.

• Balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.

• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Operations, product, engineering, IT, sales, design, and commercial teams.

• Address issues comprehensively and make prioritization choices.

• Guide the delivery process with the technical lead and engineering team by providing context and eliminating ambiguity.

• Draft outcome-oriented briefs and acceptance criteria.

• Utilize AI tools for discovery synthesis, documentation, and delivery workflows.

• Contribute to the go-to-market strategy, encompassing pricing, positioning, and launch readiness.

• Define and monitor success metrics that link customer outcomes to business performance.

• Act as the internal authority for the product area.

• Report directly to the Director of Product.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–7 years of product management experience, demonstrating a history of owning outcomes.

• Experience in leading customer discovery and converting qualitative and quantitative insights into product decisions.

• Ability to function effectively in a cross-functional squad environment alongside engineering and design colleagues.

• Background in regulated or complex industries, such as automotive, fleet, payments, fintech, or similar, with a proven ability to learn new domains.

• Comfort in working within and contributing to organizations that are evolving their product operating model.

• Active utilization of AI tools to enhance productivity in daily product tasks, including discovery workflows, streamlining documentation, automating research, creating prototypes, and speeding up delivery.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong critical thinking capabilities and a preference for evidence-based decision-making over opinion.

• Knowledge of the transportation/smart mobility sector and road safety is advantageous.

• Familiarity with product management tools such as Aha!, Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar platforms.

• Experience collaborating with compliance, legal, or regulatory stakeholders in a multi-jurisdictional setting.
