This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Take ownership of the Insight & Data domain and the measurement layer of the Aphex platform.
• Report directly to the Head of Product.
• Lead a team of around six engineers, adapting as needed.
• Define, protect, and version canonical metrics related to project behavior and performance.
• Link behavioral routines to outcomes and establish evidence of what predicts delivery.
• Enable self-service measures for users, customer teams, and internal product/GTM teams.
• Conduct discovery through QA to ensure successful launch with the engineering team.
• Create executable specifications and briefs, holding the team accountable for them.
• Validate sequencing and estimates for accuracy.
• Make daily trade-off decisions regarding scope, timeline, and quality.
• Manage data pipelines, aggregated models, API/MCP access, and platform reliability.
• Publish signal contracts for the Planner and Diary teams.
• Collaborate with Customer Success and Solution Engineers on customer data use cases.
• Support evidence-based product decision-making throughout the organization.
• Oversee organizational/admin surfaces, including the admin console, org-level insights, report sharing, and access requests.
• Instrument and drive activation behaviors to ensure project stickiness.
• Background in measurement: defined metric systems, built or assessed data pipelines, or collaborated closely with data scientists.
• Experience in standalone product or platform ownership.
• Technical expertise to critically evaluate engineering estimates and pinpoint sequencing errors.
• Proven track record of delivering data products, analytics, or platform work with high standards.
• Remote-first working style characterized by clear writing, decision documentation, and proactive communication.
• Experience in behavioral analytics, activation/retention instrumentation, or product-led growth measurement (highly valued).
• Familiarity with AI/agent products and evaluation frameworks (highly valued).
• Background in vertical SaaS or construction/industrial sectors (highly valued).
• Experience in fostering evidence-driven internal teams (highly valued).
