Product Management Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gain knowledge and receive guidance from Senior team members on various product roadmap initiatives.

• Conduct research on competing products and assess customer needs.

• Investigate new capabilities offered by competitors.

• Implement and set up pertinent virtualization and cloud infrastructure solutions.

• Establish evaluation scenarios.

• Analyze competitor offerings in relation to Virtuozzo Infrastructure.

• Share findings with Product Management, Sales, and Engineering teams.

• Create configured testing environments and verify competitor functionalities.

• Develop feature-comparison matrices and technical documentation.

• Offer insights for product strategy, sales support, and future engineering initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level Computer Science undergraduate or graduate student, or a recent graduate of Constructor University.

• A keen interest in product management, competitive analysis, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise software.

• Fundamental understanding of Linux, virtualization, storage, networking, distributed systems, or cloud-management platforms.

• Capability to install, configure, and assess unfamiliar software using technical documentation and AI support.

• Familiarity with VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ceph, or similar technologies is advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Basic skills in Python, Bash, Ansible, or other scripting and automation tools are a plus.

• Proficiency in defining comparison criteria, validating product claims, documenting findings, and delivering clear recommendations.

• Research-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to explore new technologies, organize assigned tasks, collaborate with technical experts, effectively use AI, and seek assistance when necessary.

• Availability for a full-time internship lasting 3 months, with the potential for full/part-time extension.
