Product Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily operations of the API and frontend teams, facilitating workflow, assessing outputs, and ensuring timely delivery.

• Establish and uphold rigorous engineering standards for performance, dependability, and clean API design.

• Take ownership of the technical design for features and manage the API interface between Keet’s core system and application.

• Facilitate collaboration between the API team and deep-tech teams on code reviews, design processes, and engine-related tasks.

• Collaborate with product managers to translate vision and roadmap into actionable, buildable tasks.

• Question unrealistic project scopes and suggest more effective implementation strategies.

• Contribute an engineering perspective to product decisions concerning P2P functionalities.

• Leverage AI tools and rapid prototypes to test and validate ideas.

• Define team objectives and establish success metrics.

• Provide mentorship to team leads and enhance team operational systems.

• Exemplify leadership while empowering teams to take initiative and ownership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing engineers or engineering leads who deliver consumer products, preferably in chat, calling, or social application domains.

• Strong sense of product development and design.

• Intuitive understanding of distributed and local-first systems.

• Knowledge of offline-first principles and eventual consistency.

• Profound expertise in JavaScript and React.

• A proactive mindset, coupled with curiosity, resilience, and the capacity to both provide and accept constructive feedback.

• Bonus: experience with local-first applications, CRDTs, synchronization engines, offline-capable mobile or desktop applications, or open-source projects.
