Product Engineer – Infra as Code, Senior Consultant II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-level infrastructure automation capabilities.

• Create, construct, and enhance reusable infrastructure solutions for provisioning, management, and operations via code.

• Set engineering standards, reusable modules, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and self-service infrastructure functionalities.

• Collaborate with platform, server, security, networking, and application teams to convert manual infrastructure delivery into an automated operational model.

• Oversee the enterprise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategy, standards, governance, and adoption roadmap.

• Design, create, and sustain scalable infrastructure automation across omni-hosted platforms.

• Develop reusable modules, templates, blueprints, and self-service automation functionalities.

• Implement automation using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Puppet, Rundeck, Python, or similar technologies.

• Utilize AI-assisted engineering and Specification-Driven Design methodologies.

• Design and create APIs and integrations for infrastructure orchestration, provisioning, and platform services.

• Propel CI/CD, security, compliance, testing, and deployment automation.

• Collaborate with platform product teams to expedite IaC adoption and productize infrastructure capabilities.

• Generate documentation, reference architectures, training materials, and enablement programs.

• Leverage cross-domain infrastructure expertise across compute, networking, storage, security, identity, cloud, and infrastructure services.

• No supervisory responsibilities required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles, patterns, and engineering practices.

• Experience with continuous collaborative pair programming.

• Significant expertise with Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Env0, Puppet, or equivalent platforms.

• Proven track record in establishing and scaling enterprise infrastructure automation initiatives.

• Strong software engineering focus on maintainability, testing, version control, and automation.

• Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.

• Familiarity with Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Experience in creating reusable modules, templates, and shared automation services.

• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, identity management, and platform services.

• Ability to influence engineering teams and promote the adoption of technical standards.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Capacity to balance strategic thinking with practical technical execution.

• Background investigation required.
