Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver product features comprehensively from the Next.js frontend to the Django backend.

• Ensure high standards of UX and UI quality while rolling out new features.

• Gain insights into how 3D models, formats, and pipelines function within the product.

• Take ownership of product areas and proactively suggest future developments.

• Manage product features from conception to release without needing exhaustive specifications for every task.

• Develop polished interfaces in Next.js, which constitutes approximately 60% of the role.

• Implement and oversee backend features using Django and PostgreSQL, accounting for about 40% of the role.

• Integrate third-party AI model APIs into the product.

• Oversee server management and ensure platform reliability while handling significant user data.

• Utilize AI coding tools on a daily basis while maintaining high quality.

• Collaborate directly with the founder, taking charge of product decisions and delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in developing web products across both frontend and backend.

• Extensive expertise in Next.js for frontend development.

• Strong proficiency in Django and PostgreSQL for backend development.

• Practical experience in managing servers and working within a Linux environment.

• Exceptional product intuition and a keen eye for clean UX/UI, including details like animations and polish.

• Proven track record of shipping a product to real users, ideally in a startup setting, either as a founder or through personal projects.

• Capability to drive product development autonomously.

• Regular use of AI tools to enhance productivity and work quality.

• Curiosity about emerging AI technologies and the ability to identify practical applications for AI.

• Bonus: familiarity with 3D models or the 3D domain, including meshes, formats, Blender, Blender headless, or similar workflows.

• Bonus: experience in scaling a product.

• Bonus: knowledge of serverless GPU platforms like Modal.

• Bonus: experience with Neon database, Celery, or third-party AI model APIs.
