Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify opportunities, ship features, and iterate through the entire stack.

• Take ownership of technical implementation and product outcomes.

• Construct intuitive interfaces, powerful APIs, and abstractions for billing and monetization workflows.

• Deliver ongoing enhancements while balancing speed, robustness, performance, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Interact with merchants to comprehend product usage and identify pain points.

• Convert user feedback into significant product enhancements.

• Collaborate openly and contribute within a small remote-first team environment.

• Design and develop the finance layer for next-generation AI products, which includes usage-based billing, programmable pricing, AI agents, real-time metering, pricing as code, and adaptable customer identities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level engineering experience.

• Proven experience in building, shipping, and evolving production software.

• In-depth expertise in at least one part of the technology stack.

• Ability to work confidently across both frontend and backend systems.

• Strong product judgment and design sensibility.

• Capability to handle problems from start to finish with a high level of ownership and autonomy.

• Ability to navigate uncertainty and make decisions without having complete information.

• Dedication to engineering quality, clean APIs, robust backend logic, thoughtful interactions, edge-case handling, and performance.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and utilize AI-assisted development tools.

• Experience with payments, billing, or developer tools is highly desirable.

• Contributions to open-source projects and personal side projects are appreciated.

• Frontend stack knowledge: TypeScript, React, Effect.

• Backend stack knowledge: Python, FastAPI, Dramatiq.

• Infrastructure knowledge: Postgres, ClickHouse, AWS.
