Product Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Horizontal in collaboration with the CPO and the wider leadership team.

• Foster customer-centric product innovation that emphasizes growth, retention, and monetization throughout both buyer and seller journeys.

• Spearhead the AI transformation within the horizontal domain.

• Oversee the incubation, development, and transition to a fully agentic horizontal marketplace.

• Manage a product organization of approximately 15 individuals, focusing on experimentation, thorough documentation, and upstream opportunity discovery.

• Collaborate closely with engineering and commercial teams across various markets to ensure product development aligns with business priorities.

• Identify and implement strategic opportunities, including innovative monetization strategies, cross-market enhancements, and long-term category positioning.

• Establish and promote product thinking and execution best practices throughout teams.

• Recruit, mentor, and nurture a high-performing team of product managers and leaders.

• Work in partnership with senior stakeholders across finance, commercial, and other functions to create consensus around strategy and priorities.

• Act as a thought partner and sparring peer to other product and business leaders in shaping the future of OLX.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience leading product teams in online B2C/B2B2C settings, preferably in marketplaces, e-commerce, or classifieds.

• Experience in navigating two-sided marketplaces involving both consumer buyers and sellers.

• Strong hands-on product management experience with a history of collaboration with engineers and commercial stakeholders.

• Several years of experience in hiring, developing, and directly managing Product Managers across all career stages.

• Ideally, experience in leading teams of a similar size (around 15 individuals).

• Comfort in working within cross-functional, multicultural teams across multiple markets.

• Ability to balance long-term vision with short- and medium-term objectives.

• Experience in both the initial stages of product development and scaling phases.

• Proven track record of adapting across various domains and sectors, with a quick learning ability.

• Experience in developing and managing AI-driven products.
